Dr. Alfred Weninger-Vycudil Promoted to Vice President Engineering

Deighton is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Alfred Weninger-Vycudil as our new Vice President Engineering. Dr. Weninger-Vycudil will be responsible for the overall strategic and technical aspects of the Product Development, Implementation, and Innovation departments.

Dr. Alfred Weninger-Vycudil started his career at the Technical College for Civil Engineering in Vienna 1985. Followed by civil engineering study at the Technical University of Vienna he graduated with an MSc in the area of traffic and infrastructure engineering. Alfred became University Assistant at the Institute for Road Construction and Maintenance at the Vienna University of Technology in 1998. In 2001 he finished his PhD with the title “Development of system elements for an Austrian PMS”, which was awarded with the Ressel and the FSV award. During his time at the Institute for Road Construction and Maintenance he started working with dRoad and dTIMS and developed the Austrian Pavement Management System for the federal road network.

In 2005, Alfred founded his own engineering company, PMS-Consult, which became part of Deighton in 2015. Alfred formerly served as Technical Director for Europe. A focus of his activities included dTIMS implementation and the execution of research projects in the context of asset management. In 2016 the Deighton Vienna office was ranked as one of the top research institutions for asset management in Europe. Since 2016 Alfred has led the TAB (Technical Advisory Board) for Deighton.

Alfred has taught road and traffic construction at the University of Applied Science Campus Wien for more than 10 years. He supported a high number of students in the context of their master thesis.
