Transforming the Future of Asset Management in Denmark

Transforming the Future of Asset Management in Denmark

Deighton Associates Ltd., partnered with Atkins Denmark, deploy the dTIMS Complete Enterprise Platform with the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet)

In Loving Memory

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deighton Associates founder, Richard Deighton, P.Eng. Rick passed away on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021, one week before his 62nd birthday.

Rick was a high school Valedictorian in 1977. He graduated from Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto while earning Student of the Year and Chairing the Civil Engineering Student Society. Rick was a passionate engineer who founded Deighton Associates Ltd in 1986, just two days after his first son was born. He focused on building a software system that helped many infrastructure organizations build management systems. As an extraordinarily smart individual with an exceptional work ethic, Rick had a long-term commitment to the science of asset management. dTIMS is the result of this commitment.

Rick retired from Deighton in 2003. After retirement, he completed his Masters in Computer Science in 2011 and began pursuit of his PhD. dTIMS will always represent his advanced vision about the challenges asset managers had and the solutions they required. His legacy will live on forever at Deighton Associates.

Deighton Response to COVID-19

To our dTIMS Community,

We are collectively going through unprecedented times and wish to reassure everyone of Deighton’s commitment, to contributing to the mitigation of this global situation in general, and specifically to supporting you during this crisis.

With countries closing their borders and significant elevations in incidents of COVID-19 around the world, we decided last week to postpone all travel which included the postponement of Deighton’s Australia and New Zealand Peer Exchanges. Globally, we have implemented a work from home policy to promote self isolation among staff, as an effort to protect them and their families from this virus. We will continue to monitor developments and follow the advice of health experts and our local authorities before changing any of these strategies.

Deighton remains fully committed to supporting our community of dTIMS users. Our solutions and services are critical to your organisation and we are taking all the steps necessary to fully support dTIMS while many of you work from home. We can assure you we are able to provide business continuity during this uncertain time. Our business has been specifically designed around our cloud-based Microsoft Azure servers which makes it possible to work from home seamlessly. We are able to connect to all of our environments remotely, minimizing any disruptions to ongoing projects or client support.

Deighton’s team is located around the world, and together, we have the capability, and systems in place to operate remotely. Safety is our primary focus; our products and solutions are specifically designed to support a mobile workforce; and we have built and tested our internal processes to provide effective continuity of service regardless of location.

We understand you will have questions. With that in mind we have put together a list of frequently asked questions that will be posted on the dTIMS Client Support Portal.

On behalf of all Deighton staff, I wish you and your families good health during this crisis. Deighton will remain committed to minimizing the impact of COVID-19 to the dTIMS Community.

Sincerely,
Vicki Deighton
CEO
