The Indiana Department of Transportation Bridge Management with dTIMS
Deighton Associates is pleased to be selected to provide consulting services to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) for the migration of their current Indiana Bridge Management System (IBMS) decision support models into dTIMS CT. The goal of the project is to incorporate IBMS management philosophies into dTIMS CT so that dTIMS CT can provide a stable platform for the generation of network level bridge planning information for INDOT.
“We are currently in the negotiation phase of the contract”, says Robert Piane, Vice President of Deighton Associates, “and are confident that an agreement will be achieved in short order. We wish to thank INDOT for providing us with this challenge and anticipate a successful outcome.”
INDOT has been using dTIMS CT for pavement management since 1992. Adding bridge management to the dTIMS CT portfolio opens the door to having INDOT consider using dTIMS CT for strategic level analyses that will consider bridges and pavements working in unison to provide an acceptable and sustainable transportation network for the citizens and businesses of
